Christmas Tree Nails!

Happy Tuesday! Look at me, two blog posts in two days! Haha, I'm on a roll and so happy with myself. Anyway today I have some cute Christmas Tree stamped nails that I did the other day. I also would like to say that my nails are also becoming much much more round! & So far they are a great length and have yet to break. (Knock on wood) When I would square my nails, I was more prone to breaking them or splitting the side no matter what I tried! So I'm giving roundies a chance and maybe they'll stay...if they cooperate.

SO anyway to the mani and the photos! ♥

For this mani I used

- OPI Skull and Glossbones for the off white
- I stamped with China Glaze Four Leaf Clover for the tiny Christmas trees
- I used the Christmas Tree image from the Mash 68 plate
- & Finally the holo green glitter is Color Club Under the Mistletoe.

The pic above is in direct sunlight! I took it unfocused so you can see all the hologoodness and the pretty rainbow mixed with the silver and green glitter.

Another direct sunlit picture.

Twin Nails with Dvisha! ♥

Well then, after a LONG overdue and much needed break from nails I am ready to be back and in action! Especially with blogging! I'm so excited to do bestie twin nails with Dvisha aka @naiildazzlee! She is super talented and I love her nails; they are always so cute! We decided to do super cute and classy holiday themed nails. ♥

I used:

- China Glaze Four Leaf Clover for the green
- Essie Fishnet Stockings for the red
- China Glaze Glistening Snow for that beautiful holo silver.

I used Konad White and the Mash-68 plate for the snowflakes, all topped with Essie Good to Go topcoat. Because of course and unfortunately, I'm out of HK Girl by Glisten & Glow.

These were so fun to do and I loved the colors. Just classic holiday themed and the snowflakes were so cute. We both did such an amazing job, and they came out so great! I'm super pumped as the countdown for Christmas is getting shorter and shorter! I hope everyone is ready, because next Thursday is almost here!

Galaxy Nails Tutorial.

Helloooo all! I am pumped for St. Patty's day! Not really, I just wanna wear green to work tomorrow haha. Anywho, this tutorial is of my galaxy nails that I did for Nail Art February challenge. I hadn't done galactic nails since I first started doing nail art (sadly) and they were awful, haha. I wish I had a picture of them, I'd embarrassingly post them. But here are my pictures and instructions on how to! First though, how beautiful is the base I used for them. I could have just used the base since they it looks like an endless starry night. ♥

Zoya Storm. ♥ Scattered holo black. Easy application, opaque in one coat. Zoya is literally in my top 3 brands.

Look at that beautiful holo. ♥

Okay, tutorial time!
GALAXY HOW TO:

Gather your materials. You'll need:
- Base and topcoat: I used Duri Rejuvacote and HK Girl Topcoat
- Base color: I used Zoya Storm
- Colors for nebulas: White, light pink (OPI Pink Friday), shimmer blue (OPI Into the Night) or dark purple, holo color of choice (Color Club Kismet)
- If you'd like a holo fine glitter topper: China Glaze Fairy Dust
- Make up sponge
- Tweezers or a steady hand for dabbing
- Clean up brushes
- Acetone

Step One: Apply base coat and let dry.

Step Two: Apply base color, this is two coats. Clean up around edges with acetone and clean up brush if needed.

Step Three: Gather your nebula colors and unscrew the tops to get ready to blob them.

Step Four: Pull off chunks of your make up sponge. No bigger than your nail itself, and pick up the fist one with your tweezers. You can use your fingers, if you think your hand is steady enough.

Step Five: Dab your fist chunk in white polish. Then blot it out, you don't want it to be extremely opaque.

Step Six: Dab it in a curved motion from one side of your nail to the other.

Step Seven: Dab and blot another chunk in your light pink polish.

Step Eight: Slightly dab the light pink toward the middle of the white nebula.

Step Nine: Dab and blot your dark shimmery polish. Leave a little more on this sponge.

Step Ten: Sponge the dark shimmer all around the outside of the nebula. To give it a more deeper effect.

Step Eleven: Last, but the best part. Dab and blot your holo polish with a new sponge.

Step Twelve: Dab the holo in the middle and around the white of your nebula. This gives your galaxy nails a perfect atmospherical look. This is the secret, holo polish makes everything look amazing. Add topcoat and you're done! You can add white dots or draw stars, add planets, or more holo glitter if you'd like!

Here is my finished mani! You can see the holo peeking through.

I loved doing these so much. They look so much more realistic then the first time I did them.
Hope you enjoy these! If you do them make sure you tag me so I can see! ♥

Mani Swap with Rei! ♥

Rei, (@reinovate) is one of my greatest nail besties! She is so talented and so funny, I swear. She's one of the nicest people I have met on IG. Anyway, we have been planning to do a mani swap/twin nails for FOREVER. This is just the first to come! ♥ No more talking time for pictures.

You can see her blog post on these nails: here.

Rei re-created my mermaid nails on Instagram, and from my blog post which you can see here. But this time we switched up the glitter! We used China Glaze Glistening Snow for the holo silver glitter, and we used plate Mash-39 to stamp the scales on the gradient. We stamped with a silver holo polish, I used Color Club Kismet. ♥

Below I have Rei's splatter mani that I recreated!

Let me just say this. This was my first time doing splatter nails and:
1. I think I used straw that was too big.
2. I think I blew way too hard.
So that was the mess I had to clean up. LMAO.

But overall they came out wonderful, I even tried to copy her signature pose.

I used:
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the base.
OPI Strawberry Margarita for the darker pink
OPI Pink Friday for the light pink
OPI Glitzerland for the gold
& Zoya Pixie Dust in Tomoko for the gold on my thumb.

Rei is so great, she is truly my nail bestie and these were fun to do. She's gonna show me some of her stamping techniques so we shall do more stamping in the future. Also I want to say congrats to her for getting 2,000 followers on IG! ♥♥
Hope you guys like our nails!

Follow her blog! Reinovate! ♥
